VIMIFOS R&D Department designs and develops products using a systematic process of evaluation and test of new ingredients and nutritional concepts, always with the vision of providing our clients with the best solutions for their needs. In addition to this research process, ongoing work is performed, aiming to optimize product cost and performance, always striving to maximize the profitability of our customers’ operations.

The daily interaction of our staff with our highly qualified team of consultants, allows us to design solutions targeting different animal agriculture issues, from nutrition and health control to farm management.

As a part of our mission, VIMIFOS has worked towards sharing relevant knowledge with the industry by hosting frequent visits of world class experts in different aspects of animal production, thus promoting fast technological transfer. This has been fundamental for the sustainable development of Mexico’s livestock and aquaculture industries.

VIMIFOS maintains a collaborative agreement with major aquaculture producers in North East Mexico to use their farms for field trials, as required to promote continued feed improvement, in agreement with the expected performance of particular farm conditions, in every region.

These trials have led us lo launch innovative products to the marketplace including. These products are a real breakthrough for the early stages of shrimp nutrition. Now copied by our competitors, Shrimp Starter and Micro Pellet have become the industry benchmarking standard.

In addition, VIMIFOS maintains collaborative agreements with world’s most important experts in different areas of animal production, thus promoting fast technological transfer, fundamental for the sustainable development of Mexico’s aquaculture production.

Since 1885, the technology developed by Moorman’s has created top quality nutritional products. VIMIFOS makes the most of this effort to complement more than 100 years of research, with service and support in the ranches to assist those producers committed to achieve the highest possible return from their forage resources, by designing ideal supplements to offset basic nutritional deficiencies in the pasture during every season in the year, thus obtaining higher profits for their cattle operations.

ADM research teams in both Quincy and Decatur, Illinois, USA, together with ADM Randall Research Center have developed effective inter-dependent relationships, and have applied these principles in established research projects. A great team of nutritionists, animal nutrition technicians, engineers, chemists, microbiologists, and biochemists work together in the creation of products and technologies that will add further value and important benefits for our customers in the future.
